Privacy Policy

1. Who is responsible
This website is operated by studio itka, Miriam Olszewski, Hintere Püntacherstrasse 8, 8712 Stäfa, Switzerland, hello@studioitka.com. I am the controller of the personal data described in this policy.

2. What data I process and why
Visiting this website. When you visit the site, technical data such as your IP address, browser type, device, pages viewed and time of access is processed automatically. This is necessary to deliver and secure the website.

Contacting me. If you email me or use a contact form, I process the details you provide (name, email address, message) to answer your enquiry.

Working together. If you become a client, I process the data needed to carry out the project and invoice it, such as names, addresses, contact details, project content and payment information. Payments are made by bank transfer, so your bank details are also processed by my bank.

Analytics. This website uses Google Analytics to understand how visitors use the site (pages viewed, approximate location, device, referral source). Google Analytics uses cookies and similar technologies, and the resulting data is transmitted to Google, including to servers in the USA. I use this data only to improve the website. You can prevent this by declining analytics cookies in the cookie banner, adjusting your browser settings, or using Google’s browser opt-out add-on.

3. Who receives your data
I share data only with service providers who need it to run the website and my business, under appropriate agreements:

  • Squarespace, Inc. (website hosting and forms; USA)

  • Google LLC (analytics and email; USA)

  • Dropbox (file storage and sharing; USA/Ireland)

  • WeTransfer (file transfer; Netherlands)

Some of these providers are located outside Switzerland and the EU/EEA. Where this is the case, transfers rely on adequacy mechanisms such as the Swiss-U.S. Data Privacy Framework or standard contractual clauses.

4. How long I keep data
Enquiries are deleted 24 months after the last contact unless a project follows. Client and invoicing data is kept for the period required by Swiss law (generally 10 years for accounting records). Analytics data is kept for 14 months. Files shared via Dropbox are deleted 12 months after project completion. WeTransfer links expire automatically after the period set at upload.

5. Your rights
You may request access to your personal data, correction of inaccurate data, deletion, restriction of processing, or a copy of your data, and you may object to certain processing.

Write to hello@studioitka.com. You also have the right to lodge a complaint with the Swiss Federal Data Protection and Information Commissioner (FDPIC), or, if you are in the EU/EEA, with your local data protection authority.

6. Security
This website uses HTTPS encryption. I take reasonable technical and organisational measures to protect your data, though no internet transmission can be guaranteed to be completely secure.

7. Changes
I may update this policy from time to time. The current version is always published on this page.
